Rebecca Hammac

 

Rebecca G. Hammac is a graduate of the Loyola University New Orleans, School of Music. In her 21 year career as a public school music educator she has had the privilege of teaching chorus, piano, music theory, and orchestra at the middle school and high school levels in Orange county and Osceola County.

          Ms. Hammac is an active member in good standing in several professional organizations, among them, FMEA, NafMe, FVA, and ACDA; and has served on the FVA Executive board for 11 years as District 8 Chair, Clinics Chair, and Middle School All State Chair. Ms. Hammac is an active clinician, adjudicator and conductor, and has served in those capacities throughout Florida. She is also the recipient of the 2011 FMEA Emerging Leader Award, and has participated in the FMEA Summer Institute in 2015, as well as the CME Institute for Choral Educators at MSU in 2018. In 2019 she coordinated the National ACDA SSAA 9-12 Honor Chorus under Dr. Sandra Snow.

          Ms. Hammac has had the honor of leading her ensembles at FMEA Clinic- Conference 2013 and Florida ACDA in 2017.  She has received superior ratings consistently at FVA Choral MPA since 2002 and Superior with Distinctions in 2018 at Dr. Phillips High School. Ms. Hammac is honored and humbled to be part of a prodigious organization as the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park. She is excited to continue the traditions of Bach Festival Youth Choir.
