Sir Paul McCartney’s Ecce cor Meum (Latin for “Behold My Heart”) was commissioned by Magdalen College, Oxford. It premiered in 2001 and is dedicated to the memory of the composer’s late wife, Linda McCartney. (Florida Premiere)

Also in this program: For centuries the English playwright, William Shakespeare has been an inspiration for composers. Peter Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet (Overture-Fantasia) and Arthur Sullivan's Merchant of Venice Suite are two such inspired works.
