Be transported back in time with the music of Bach and Vivaldi 

Experience the Knowles Memorial Chapel and Baroque music in a new way: Bach and Vivaldi by candlelight. J.S. Bach and Antonio Vivaldi are the two best-known composers from the Baroque era. Be transported back to the 1700s as you hear the music of these two great composers performed in a candlelit Knowles Memorial Chapel.

We present two pieces that are rarely performed in concert: Vivaldi’s Concerto in D Major for Harp and Strings and his Double Cello Concerto. The Harp Concerto, originally written for solo violin, harpsichord, and strings takes the solo violin and harpsichord parts and transfers them to the beautiful sound of the harp.  The Double Cello Concerto is the only one of its kind Vivaldi wrote.
