Beppy Owen Elected to Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Board of Trustees

Beppy Owen, Shareholder at Akerman-Senterfitt was recently elected to The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Board of Trustees. Owen, an Orlando-based shareholder who works in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, assumed her role as a member of the society’s board as of September of this year and will serve through May of 2014.


The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance of the society. As a member of the board, Owen will help to define the organization’s policies, long-term direction, and community support and involvement. Individual board members contribute their personal time and resources to support the mission of the organization.

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park is the third-oldest continuously operating Bach Festival in the United States, and the oldest operating performing arts organization in Central Florida. The society was founded in 1935 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach’s birth by presenting the composer’s orchestral and choral music to the public for its enlightenment, education, pleasure and enjoyment.


Owen’s law practice focuses on transactions involving corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity financing, debt financing, real estate leasing and acquisitions, intellectual property, and healthcare matters. She provides corporate counseling to privately held companies and also has experience representing individual business executives in connection with the negotiation of executive employment agreements, long term compensation arrangements and change of control agreements. She is co-chair of the Senior Living Facilities Practice of the firm, having significant experience in acquisition, financing, and leasing transactions for clients involved in the healthcare industry.
